Simple, durable, and built to last—Sun Ballast’s racking systems provide secure, long-term support for solar modules of all sizes, adaptable to any flat surface.

The 83 kW system featured in the photo was installed by EIS Solar in Pittsburgh, PA, using the Connect 5° system on a flat roof with a sheath membrane covering. Thanks to its ballasted, non-penetrating design, the system was installed without compromising the roof’s waterproofing, while also reducing installation time and simplifying assembly.

The interconnected structure of the Connect system enhances wind resistance and ensures even weight distribution, maintaining maximum stability without overloading the roof. The ballasts, made from low-porosity concrete, minimize water absorption, making them highly resistant to freeze-thaw cycles and ensuring long-term durability even in harsh weather conditions.

For large panels, the No-Flex Kit prevents bending by incorporating an additional central ballast and mid-point clamps, keeping even the biggest modules stable and secure. The use of PowerClamp steel clamps streamlines system grounding by ensuring electrical bonding between modules, while the pre-cast M8 threaded inserts provide a quick, strong, and lasting connection, optimizing both safety and installation speed.

With a focus on efficiency, reliability, and ease of installation, Sun Ballast delivers a racking system that simplifies solar mounting while offering long-term performance and protection.

Connect System

Lightweight, ultra-reliable, and built to withstand extreme weather—the Connect System revolutionizes ballasted racking by integrating all supports into a reinforced, wind-resistant network. This interconnected design minimizes roof load while maximizing stability and durability.
