In Abbeville, France, Enersolys SARL installed a 186 kWp PV system using the Sun Ballast East-West System, selected to make the best use of available space and create a more functional module layout.
The east-west orientation of the panels lets the system reduce row-to-row spacing and limit shading, resulting in a more compact, orderly array. This layout uses the available surface more efficiently while keeping a configuration that adapts to the specific requirements of the project—without adding complexity to the install. The structure is also fitted with connecting plates between the ballasts, which increase stability under wind loads while keeping installation fast and straightforward.
For this project, a 10° L-tilt configuration was used in a ground-mounted installation. The flexibility of the system also makes it easier to work around any obstacles within the installation area. The result is a solution that combines space optimization, stability, and installation practicality, adapting to different design requirements without complicating the install.
the East-West system allows you to freely adjust the distance between rows, simplifying obstacle management and maximizing the use of available roof space.
By positioning panels in double rows of ballasted racking placed back-to-back, the system minimizes shading.
