East-West
10°
192.6Kw
This 192.6 kWp PV system was installed on a green roof in Geneva, Switzerland, using the Sun Ballast East-West System at a 10° tilt.
The East-West configuration allows the ballast blocks to be arranged in a way that optimizes both available roof area and shading management. The system can also be tied together with dedicated joining plates, increasing stability under wind loads and creating a solid, modular layout that adapts to the specific requirements of the project.
For this installation, the Sun Ballast Technical Department worked alongside Tera Solar SA to adapt the system to the site conditions and the technical requirements of the project. That support helped streamline both the design and installation phases while ensuring compliance with SIA 2062.
The East-West orientation also helps improve self-consumption and optimize overall purchasing costs. Combined with its modularity, wind resistance, and efficient use of space, this makes the system a versatile solution even for more complex PV projects.
the East-West system allows you to freely adjust the distance between rows, simplifying obstacle management and maximizing the use of available roof space.
By positioning panels in double rows of ballasted racking placed back-to-back, the system minimizes shading.
